Hi all,
Hi all, Today was my last session with the physio here in the US. My ankle is much better now... almost all of the swelling has gone and i am not feeling any pain anymore!!! After my session with the physio this morning i went down to the hall and did a few lights things on court. It was nice to get back on court and my ankle felt good. I didn't feel any pain which is great... so i am looking forward to Monday when i will start training again. I will do one gym session over the weekend and also a lot of strenght exercises for my ankle because i need to build it back up again so this won't happen again!! Thats all for now... I just want to wish chloe the best of luck tonight when she plays her semi final. Keep visiting :) Scott
Hi All,
Unfortunately I had to pull out of the US yesterday due to injury. I was training in the hall on Monday and twisted my ankle. I thought it would be ok but overnight some swelling appeared and it was quiet painful and difficult to walk on so yesterday morning I went to see the Physio here for a professional opinion. His advice was to skip this tournament as I could do some irreversible damage if I played on the ankle and I don’t think that’s a risk I could take just 5 weeks ahead of the Olympic Games. So I suppose the decision, while very disappointing, was an easy one to make. I woke up this morning and the swelling has already starting to go down a bit but I know that this is the right decision on this occasion as its all about the Olympics for me at this point in time.
All the best
Scott
